A monster game by Cunningham last week against Big 12 leader Oklahoma State including five hits, four runs, and three RBI has Richard Cunningham of Baylor as our Slugger of the Week. He raked it in last week, going 11 for 21 (.524) , including three home runs and three doubles.
Richard played his high school ball at Stephen F. Austin HS in Austin. He was the 2017 Big 12 Baseball Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

A big week has launched University of Texas infielder Kody Clemens to Bobby Bragan Collegiate Slugger Award Player of the Week honors. It’s the second time he’s received the honor this season. Clemens batted .474 (9-for-19) against Texas State and Texas Tech. The junior drove in six runs and scored six times. His week included a two-home run, four-hit game in Lubbock last Friday.
Clemens also claimed Player of the Week honors Feb. 27 of this year. He played his high school ball at Memorial HS in Houston. He’s the son of Roger and Debbie Clemens.

Davis Wendzel’s impressive week at the plate has earned him the Bobby Bragan Collegiate Slugger Award’s Player of the Week. He batted .474 (9-for-19) with two homers and nine RBIs for Baylor. He had five extra base hits in competition against Texas State and Kansas State. Wendzel also scored six runs.
The sophomore infielder from San Clemente, Calif. played in 50 games as a freshman with Baylor in 2017. He was named to the Big 12 All-Freshman team and was All-Big 12 Honorable Mention. He played baseball at Jserra Catholic High School.

Texas Tech sophomore Josh Jung has captured Bobby Bragan Collegiate Slugger Award Player of the Week honors for the second time this year. Jung batted .588 with seven extra base hits and 13 runs batted in. His week included three homers, two doubles and two triples. He hit for the cycle against New Mexico on April 17th. Texas Tech also played three games against Oklahoma this week.
Jung played high school baseball at MacArthur High in San Antonio. He also was also the Slugger Award’s first player of the week for 2018, back in February.

Houston Baptist outfielder Spencer Halloran’s outstanding week has culminated in Player of the Week Honors from the Bobby Bragan Collegiate Slugger Award. Halloran batted .588 (10-for-17) with six RBIs and seven runs scored. Last Friday, Halloran had a five-hit game with two homers, two doubles and six driven in. Halloran’s big week came against Texas A&M Corpus Christi and Abilene Christian.
The senior from Mason City, Iowa played high school baseball at West Fork High School. In his junior year in 2017 he was named to the Southland Conference All-Tournament Team.

Owls shortstop Ford Proctor has been named this week’s Bobby Bragan Collegiate Slugger Award Player of the Week. Proctor batted .500 (9-for-18) with five doubles, six runs scored and an RBI. Proctor had a four-hit game against Sam Houston State.
Proctor started all 64 games for Rice in 2017 after being named a Freshman All-America in 2016. Proctor attended Kelly High School in Beaumont.

For the first time since the Bobby Bragan Collegiate Slugger Award was established in 2017, there are Co-Players of the Week. Sam Houston State infielder Andrew Fregia was 5-for-10 against Abilene Christian and was a double short of the cycle on Sunday. He also had three stolen bases and scored six runs. Fregia, from Liberty, Texas, was a third-team All-Southland Conference selection in 2017, his sophomore year.
For the second time this year, Dallas Baptist’s Devlin Granberg has earned Player of the Week honors. He batted .545 (6-for-11) against Southern and Xavier. He scored six runs and had a stolen base. Granberg is a senior from Hudson, Colorado.

Gaudencio Lucca, a redshirt-junior first baseman with Texas Southern has been selected as this week’s Bobby Bragan Collegiate Slugger Award Player of the Week. In action against Houston Baptist, Mississippi State and Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Lucca batted .611 (11-for-18) with two homers, nine RBIs and five runs scored. He had three multi-hit games, including a contest Sunday in which he hit for the cycle.
Lucca is from Mountain View, Calif. was a Preseason Second Team All-SWAC selection.

Houston’s Joe Davis has been selected as the latest Bobby Bragan Collegiate Slugger Player of the Week. Davis had three multi-hit games this past week, amassing a 9-for-17 week at the plate (.529 average). He drove in four runs and scored three times against McNeese State, New Mexico and Columbia.
The junior first baseman/DH hit .299 during his sophomore campaign with the Cougars in 2017. He played high school ball at Bowie HS in Austin.

Dallas Baptist’s Devlin Granberg emerged as this week’s Bobby Bragan Collegiate Slugger Award Player of the Week. Granberg was 10-for-19 this week, a .556 batting average, with two home runs and nine RBIs. He posted a four-hit game and a three-hit game over the course of the week in which his team faced Oklahoma and Oral Roberts.
Granberg, a senior from Hudson, Colorado, won the Missouri Valley Conference batting title in 2017, with a .359 batting average.

Texas A&M sophomore Braden Shewmake has been selected as the Bobby Bragan Collegiate Slugger Player of the Week. Shewmake had nine hits 19 at bats (a .474 average) with a home run, six RBIs and a stolen base. He posted three multi-hit games last week.
Braden was a finalist for the 2017 Bragan Collegiate Slugger Award after an excellent freshman year for the Aggies. Shewmake was named the National Freshman of the Year by Collegiate Baseball.
He played high school baseball at Wylie East.

University of Texas infielder Kody Clemens has been named the Bragan Collegiate Slugger Award Player of the Week. Clemens batted .462 (6-for-13) with a home run and two RBIs against Lamar and LSU. He walked seven times during the week and scored four runs.
Clemens, a junior, played baseball at Memorial High School in Houston. He is the son of Roger and Debbie Clemens. Roger pitched for 24 years in the big leagues, winning two Cy Young Awards and making 11 All-Star teams.

Texas Tech sophomore infielder/pitcher Josh Jung has been selected as the first Bobby Bragan Collegiate Slugger Award Player of the Week for 2018. Jung batted. 588 with three home runs seven RBIs and seven runs scored in four games against Maine. He posted a four-hit, five-RBI game on Sunday.
His 10 total hits led all Watch List hitters. Jung posted a .650 on base percentage with a slugging percentage over 1.000.
Jung played high school baseball at MacArthur HS in San Antonio and was the 2017 Big 12 Freshman of the Year.
